Madi Scott-Mullen, climbing instructor, working near Boston

Madi Scott-Mullen (she/they)

Instructor

AMGA Single Pitch Instructor

Wilderness First Aid & CPR

Exploring the outdoors became pivotal to Madi's wellbeing during her childhood years spent in Oregon. She dabbled in climbing while completing her bachelor's degrees in chemistry and physics, but really fell in love when she moved to Boston.

Madi has lots of experience working with youth climbers. Additionally, she specializes in making climbing feel accessible to individuals who live with limited mobility-- as she herself navigates life with an autoimmune arthritis condition called Ankylosing Spondylitis.

When Madi isn't guiding or climbing, she is working towards her PhD in Physical Chemistry at MIT. In addition, Madi is a youth rock climbing coach at Boston Bouldering Project and teaches a variety of group exercise classes (including HIIT, mobility, and yoga) around the greater Boston area.
